           Instructions for Developing
           PMA Parts and New Repairs

Higher Planes has unique capabilities to develop FAA approved repairs for parts that do not
have existing repairs. Our staff of DER’s can cover repairs on airframe, engine or accessories
for any U.S. registered aircraft. Each repair will be evaluated for economic consideration taking
into account expected quantities per year, availability of new or overhauled parts and pricing.

In addition to our capabilities for repair development we have programs for the manufacture of
aircraft and aircraft engine components under FAA-PMA. These programs are evaluated on an
individual basis with similar criteria as used for repair development. Programs exist for
exclusivity and/or pricing considerations.

When sending in a part to Higher Planes for development, please include the following:

§ Completed Development Information Form 501 (above)

§ Drawings if available

§ Inspection and maintenance criteria for the specific part

§ Illustrated parts catalogs (IPC) with effectivity information to tie the part to a specific

airframe, engine or propeller

§ A brief summary of requested repair

§ At least one of the subject parts

§ Additional parts and/or information may be required and will be requested when
development has started
